Hi, I’m Kim Fisher.
I create spatial analyses, applications, data visualizations, and scripts for projects that aim to make a better world.
I write code in a variety of languages, manage data stored in several different relational database systems, perform spatial analyses, and manage complex projects with teams of developers, designers, and scientists. I favor open data and open code, and my current toolbelt focuses on Python, Django, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, QGIS/GDAL/OGR, numpy/pandas/pyplot, Angular, jQuery, D3, nginx, Docker, and AWS. I have co-authored or contributed significantly to a number of publications.
I am a Spatial Analyst and Developer at the Wildlife Conservation Society, cofounder of Square Water, and partner to artist Heidi Neilson.
